Blue light filtering lenses for everyone

Now that everyone is staying home for extended period of time, screen time is inevitable, even for the youngest members of the family. Here enters the new term “Blue Light Filtering Lenses”. Dad is near-sighted and so his glasses already come with blue light filtering coating, while mom also wears her pair of computer glasses while working on her laptop. I haven't thought about my siblings having to wear eye glasses because their eyesight must be corrected, but I do worry more and more about the increased amount of screen time. While online teaching and resources can be useful, they do put a lot of strain on one’s eyes, so when mom started researching blue light lenses for my siblings, I was quite excited. Here are some of the brands mom has been considering for my young siblings:

Ambr Eyewear

Ambr is the brand mom is currently using. She heard about this Irish company after some pretty extensive research and decided to order online. Her glasses arrived within two weeks, and perfectly fitted to her face and with the prescription from her optometrist.  I like mom’s new look; it is chic and very professional. If you are a person who spend a significant amount of time per day in front of the screens, I would say give this company a try. They’ve recently added more designs to their frame collection, as well expanding their service to kids. Ambr also has four different ranges of blue light filtering specifications: Blue Light Range, Ultra Range, Transition Range, and Sun Range,to fit customers’ needs. Another cool thing about Ambr is their “Virtual Try on”feature, where you can virtually try on frames on their website before making a purchase.
