Cooking with kids

One of my favorite places in our house is the kitchen. My mom says she prefers quick, simple meals since she always has a lot going on, but I know when she does spends a lot of time in the kitchen, it is when she is preparing something yummy. I know when to stay far enough from the stove and the oven, but close enough so that mom will offer me samples.

Since we moved to Portland metro area three years ago, my parents have been on a search for local hub for everything about kids. This is the website many of their friends recommend and you can sign up for their listserv or grab a copy of their newsletter or magazines.

This is a nice place to fall back to when mom looks for food ideas or just a fun read of anything food-related. It has many useful recipes and meal planning ideas, and family-friendly activity suggestions in and around the kitchen.
